Property views are fabulous and garden is very nice. We had deer in the morning in garden which was lovely. Kitchen is well equipped. Great location for exploring other areas, although just be careful of road in and out of property! Sadly previous guest reviews of property needing refreshed and a deep clean have still not been considered. We spent our first hour high hooveringdusting to clear away spiders and webs in every room and hoovering under sofa cushions due to food residue. Whilst you could live with the property needing freshened up the cleanliness really would benefit from being reviewed. Property could be amazing with some attention and decorating. Unfortunately due to this we felt we would not book again.

Amazing spacious cottage and location. We had a friendly deer visit the garden during our holiday. The only niggle was the water it was either cold or hot nothing in between. when it was hot, it only lasted for about 5 minutes before turing cold. Showers and baths were challenging!

Outstanding peaceful location the cottage was spotless with every thing you need and more, it is comfortable in every way lots of space, beautiful garden, enjoyed watching the wildlife. We were welcomed with a welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Would certainly go again. Credit due to the owner.

Fantastic spacious Cottage in a stunning location close to Lake Windermere. The Cottage is an ideal base for a family holiday in the lake district and it provided us with all we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider returning in the future. Thanks.

Juniper cottage is set in a beautiful location with great all round views. the cottage is very comfortable and has all you need in the way of facilities. Unfortunately we experienced a problem with no heating or hot water due to the fact that the oil tank had ran dry. The owner was very apologetic and did compensate us at the end of the holiday and also said that he would make sure this would never happen again.

Lovely Place to stay with a beautiful view . . house have all the facilities even provided extra blankets for guests.. House is beautiful inside out .. we loved a our stay and will book this again and again

Lovely cottage with great views from the garden, and easy walks very close by. A relaxing week in a quiet location but not too far as not to be able to walk to Bowness and the facilities it has to offer. The cottage is a good size with plenty of small items for convenience in the kitchen, not often found in holiday homes. The cottage could do with some freshening up but on the whole I would recommend it as a good base in the Lake District

This was our 7th stay at this property and while I realise the house needs some modernising, eg kitchen, we can't help but notice the cleanliness has definitely not been the same lately. The bathroom toilet left me retching you could see the thick black crusty gunge under the rim from the doorway! The mould and cobwebs over many windows, especially in living room.

Beautiful situation great views. Nice accommodation which has been upgraded with good quality furnishings. Owner very quick to respond to a query. Thoroughly recommend!

Juniper cottage is set in the most beautiful settings. The garden is beautifully maintained and private. The cottage is spacious and in good order. The little instructions around the house help you easily settle in and understand its quirks. We had a wonderful week and are already planning a future visit To address some comments about the rubbish we also had difficulty having enough space for ours in the bin but when asked, we were informed that there is no regular collection because of its location down a small lane so collection has to be agreed and paid for privately. Getting out of the lane onto the main road is tricky as it's a blind spot. Open your window to listen for approaching traffic.
