Great location and everything we needed for a few days away. The welcome basket and the milk in the fridge were really welcome. Everything was in walking distance from the cottage so you can leave the car for the duration of you choose. We took a drive out around the lakes and returned home to a warm comfortable cottage. We couldnt have asked for anything more.

Great location, facilities in kitchen could want more. Garden could be more cared for but not a real problem. Log burning fire great on cold winter nights after day walking. Only thing that was disappointing was the birds left calling cards all over our car so had to wash off constantly and we real look after the car, not sure how this could be managed.

Parking for 2 cars! We were met with a wonderfully warm and cosy cottage. We loved the welcome basket, lovely touch. The cottage was very clean, everywhere! Very generous with dishwasher tablets, washing tablets and lots of other necessities in the cupboards. Too many to mention. Kitchen was very well stocked. Slept well, comfortable beds. Brilliant Information Pack. Absolutely everything you need to know and more. Location perfect. So close to many lovely restaurants and shops but in a quiet location. Will definitely look to book again.

We found Acorn Cottage to be very clean, comfortable & always nice and warm. The kitchen had every appliance you would need. The dining area was ok but a little cramped for 6 people. The beds were all very comfortable. The location is really Bowness, Windermere was a little further away. We would not hesitate to book again.

Wonderfull cottage in a lovely part of town. Spotlessly clean. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 kids under the age of 11. Everyone had a fantastic time. Plenty of space for everyone. It was great that our dog was welcome too. There was a lovely welcome hamper that was very kind and welcoming. The cottage has everything that you would need from the kitchen equipment, to Internet and a smart tv in the lounge. Thanks so much for a wonderfull stay, will be looking to book again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Acorn cottage. Location was fantastic. On bus route as well. In walking distance to lots of restaurants. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need. The only negative thing I would say is the shower was very hot in the top bedroom and would not turn down. But I did let the owner know about this. Definitely stay again.

It was a great place to stay, very clean and the complementary basket was most welcomed, including milk in the fridge when you arrive. Just two small points, the shower on the top floor was difficult to control the temperature, mostly too hot. In the information pack it stated to leave the green bin at the end of the drive, which I did, however when they arrive they collect from where it normally stands, that info need to change on the sheet. Everything else great thank you again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Acorn Cottage. It was in a great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and pubs. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the facilities for dogs were perfect. The only point of feedback albeit minor was that more toilet roll and some shower gelshampoo etc wouldve been appreciated but other than that, no complaints. We would definitely reccomend.

We had a lovely time at Acorn Cottage. Upon arrival we were greeted with a hamper of goodies which was a lovely touch. And even a pint of fresh milk in the fridge which I was most grateful of as was in need of a coffee after a 6 hour drive. We love the Lake District and would definitely book Acorn Cottage again!

Beautifully presented cottage in a quiet close. The cottage was very clean and well equipped . We parked the car out the front and did not use it once all week as the cottage is in a great location between Windermere and Bowness. The cottage was dog friendly and a what a. lovely gesture in the welcome hamper with treats for our little dog Archie! Superb would definitely recommend !

We had a great stay at this property. We found it very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms were great too. It is in a great location on the outskirts of Bowness and also within walking distance of Windermere. We highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay here good location off the main road quiet, parking off road, bus stop nearby if needed supermarket close by and placed equally between the main areas of both Windermere and Bowness. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay with a delightful welcome pack as well. Although the stairs to the loft bedroom are steep as described we managed and overall the cottage suited us perfectly and would definitely book again.

In a rental cottage, superb! Fantastic onsuite on the top floor. Second bathroom is good size and really nice with a good shower also. Super comfy beds. Acorn Cottage is absolutely charming. The rooms are clean, spacious, beautifully presented and have all the facilities you may need for a holiday. The location is great, there is ample parking and the cottage is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely gesture and I look forward to bringing my family back for another stay at Acorn Cottage again in the future.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location with great access to Bowness and Windermere and its restaurants, pubs, shops and the lake. Cottage has everything you need for a lovely relaxing break away and the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch. The closed garden was ideal for our dog and after forgetting her foodwater bowl it was great to see spare dog bowls already there along with a dog bed!!! I would highly recommend staying here either as a family or as a couple and we will definitely be booking to stop in this lovely cottage again. Home from home, we took half the house with us but didn't need to. Great to have all the kitchen gadgets air fryer , coffee machine everythings been well thought of for that stay away. A lovely welcome pack with goodies on arrival...House was super clean, we all slept really well, comfy beds with nice Cosy duvets. House is in a great spot for walking to Bowness and up to Windermere. We had a lovely weekend away and would highly recommend. We will definitely be back...Thank you x

Instructions for refuse and recycling could be clearer. 2 green bins on drive not numbered and one disappeared before we left. A clock would be useful upstairs. Generally a very comfortable cottage in a quiet location yet close to all local amenities, especially for people without their own transport. Would stay again.

Our first visit to the lake district we absolutely loved our stay cottage is wonderful decor is beautiful we were in the attic bedroom with en suite so comfortable and cosy . .ideal location for shops pubs and restaurants highly recommend this cottage we will definitely be back

We had a fantastic time! Hosts had excellent communication both in advance and during our holiday. The house is a great size, very clean and comes very well equipped. We stayed as a group of 4 adults, 2 babies and 2 small dogs. The house is plenty big enough and perfect for families as well as friends. So many great touches from children's cutlery, dog treats, delicious coffee pods and such nice hand soap we even went out and brought it before we came home. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. A massive thank you again for being so accommodating with our 2 small babies.

A delightful cottage in a superb location. Walking distance to the many amenities of Bowness including bars, restaurants, shops , art galleries , cinema, lakeside and boat trips and Beatrix Potter attraction Short drive or slightly longer drive into Windermere. The cottage is set back from the main road and sitting out in the evening you would not know you were close to the centre of Bowness. I usually take supplies tea, coffee, cooking oil, hand soap , loo roll with me but need not have as all thoughtfully provided Everything you would need during your stay is provided Large bedroom on 3rd floor with luxurious shower room Double bedroom offered plenty of room. My only comment would be the twin is only suitable for young children or one older childadult as there is limited room between beds Everything you would possibly need was provided including Netflix access Cottage was very clean and well maintained Would recommend and would stay again Only suggestions for future consideration would be a radioalexa and a bbq
