Well equipped, clean and a great location. my heart sank on arrival on having to carry my luggage up 3 floors of stairs! But once in not a issue It is also stated that there are views of the lake you would have to squint to see a lake. small patio as there was a little table and chairs shown in the pictures which were actually at the front in the car park. Not a big deal as in November we were not sitting outside. We had a extremely comfortable stay and would return.

Brilliant location for a lovely comfortable for home for exploring Bowness on Windermere and the surrounding area. We have stayed at this house many times over the years and continue to go back. The property is spacious and well appointed. There is great parking and it is lovely and quiet. It only takes a few minutes from leaving the property to be in the main street for shops, bars and restaurants.

Had a brilliant holiday. Cottage was spotless and well equipped. Convenient location right on the bus route. Will be back.

Superb property, our 8th visit and we have already booked again for May 2026. Excellent location being very central for all amenities in Bowness and Windermere but quietly tucked away with off road parking for 2 cars. Always immaculately clean and well presented, thanks to Jane the housekeeper.

Had a great week in Bowness. The house is comfortable and well equipped....also well situated in the town. The weather was fabulous so enjoyed getting out and about in the beautiful Lake District.

Lovely comfy cottage, fantastic location which benefits 2 large parking spaces. It is immaculately clean thanks to Jane and is very well equipped. The main bedroom has the most comfortable bed I have slept in and both the main bathroom and ensuite have large showers. The utility is located on ground floor and very spacious for drying wet walking clothes. The exit from the cottage is slightly banky but still ok for 2 unfit pensioners like ourselves. Needless to say I have already booked Woodside West for our next holiday.

Woodside West was fabulous! We had a fantastic week in BownessOnWindermere and staying at Woodside West made it even better. The cottage is beautiful, exceptionally clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our stay at Woodside West. The property is in an excellent location within in easy access to all that Bowness and Windermere has to offer. The 2 car parking spaces are a real bonus. The property is well equipped clean and well maintained and has a homely feel. Would definitely recommend and we hope to visit again soon.

Excellent property in a great location. Car parking is a big bonus.

Woodside West is a home from home. The location is ideal, so close to shops, cafs and restaurants and yet really quiet, tucked away as it is. The interior is excellent too. It's impeccably clean, spacious and very cosy and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the Christmas decorations which brightened a somewhat wet and gloomy week.

Second visit to 1 Woodside West. We love the location accessibility to both Windermere and Bowness. The convenience of having a dedicated parking spot. Well appointed and very clean.

The cottage is well placed in a central but quiet location. Its very comfortable,clean and well equipped. Sykes photo of the patio is very misleading as its just in the car park and others seemed to use it. In late September that didnt matter but it may to some people. Overall its a very good holiday home with a large ground floor utility room useful for walking gear

Cottage was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Slightly odd layout over three floors, with two flights of stairs to negotiate to bedrooms with suitcases on arrival and departure. Description referring to patiosun terrace and garden maybe stretching things slightly. Private offroad parking a godsend during the extremely busy time of our stay August 24. Access back to the main road in the car a bit precarious though. Overall, a lovely place to stay, with good access to Bowness, Windermere and beyond. Would recommend.

The listing on the website was inaccurate as it says the property is over 2 floors then goes on to describe 3, which it actually is. Not a problem for us but might be for some people especially getting all the food shopping to the kitchen upstairs and suitcases up two flights to the bedrooms. The photo of the outside space is misleading, its not private in the sense of not being overlooked as its in the car park area, but it is only used by this property. We didnt like it and didnt want to use it.

Woodside West is a lovely property. Well equipped, very tidy and a great location. My only criticism is that it is advertised as being on 2 floors, its actually on 3 floors. Lots of stairs! It is also stated that there are views of the lake. This is simply not true. Very misleading.

This is an excellent cottage in a good location. There are lots of places to eat and transport facilities are good.

Woodside West is a home from home. Its clean and comfortable with everything you need .The location is great as its just off the Main Street yet far enough away to be really quiet. The parking space is essential as Bowness gets very busy. We have stayed here before and look forward to staying again. The only thing is the house has a lot of stairs and there is a bit of a bank to climb from the property to the main road so it is not suitable if you have mobility issues.

Superb property and excellent location. Our 7th visit and will be returning again.

We loved this property. It is ideally located in the heart of Bowness and Windermere and yet in a quiet cul de sac with pleasant views. The house is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need and it was spotlessly clean.

A really lovely house, immaculate inside pictures did not do it justice. Very impressed how nicely furnished it was it had everything we needed and a great location and good parking. Nice and warm and cosy and we loved our stay there. We will definitely go back there as can not fault it at all. A really pleasant place to stay. Thank you.

We have stayed at the property 4 times now and love it. The location is fab and it is really well laid out. The only issue we had this time was with the heating. It would not come on before 9am ish and after 9pm ish. This was inconvenient at best. When we arrived on Friday tea time it was working fine but we could not turn it on Saturday morning. I phoned Lakelovers and they were going to send someone out. I then phoned back to say that it had started working about 9am so nobody came out. I appreciate I should have phoned back because we had this problem all week. We were out all day one day, returning after 9pm and could not get any heating on at all.

The property was excellent with great facilities. Very comfortable and clean. The location was also very good, being only about a 10 minute walk from the Steamer pier. Having private offroad parking was a great advantage.

A truly beautiful cottage with perfect facilities for four guests without the usual struggles for a shower in the morning! The washing machine and tumble dryer was a great bonus and it was great to come home with no dirty washing! Excellent facilities in the utility room. Nice for us all to sit round the table for dinner. Kitchen very well equipped maybe a little bit too much! Maybe empty a cupboard for food storage, but thats a minor thing. Beds were clean and very comfortable and we all slept better than we had in ages. Lady phoned us early to say the cottage was ready and was flexible about check out especially when one of us lost their glasses and had to pop back. Only reason not a 5 for accuracy is the outdoor area isnt particularly private its across the small car park. One thing to bear in mind is theres quite a short, but steep slope down to the entrance to the cottage, plus four steps up to the door. I have arthritis but managed it, but someone less able may struggle. Hand rail down the slope would help. Overall excellent! Will be booking again Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The standard of cleanliness and presentation of the property was excellent. It really was a home from home. The location was great as it was close to the amenities. We almost didnt book the property as the photos really dont do it justice but we were very pleased we did. However I would advise any one with mobility issues not to visit this property as there steps up to the front door and there are a lot of stairs inside. Also there is a steep bank to get to and from the property which would be challenging if you have restricted mobility. Improved lighting outside would have been helpful also.

Cottage was very clean and comfortable. The directions are very misleading and subsequently we went to the wrong address. We had to ask the lady who lived opposite where it was, and 15 to 20 minutes later we finally we found it, whitch was very frustrating. It also lacked the personal touch no basics left. eg. tea coffee etc. Just a suggestion people would pay say 20 for a welcome pack, including these items
