Our third visit to Muirhead was really comfortable and welcoming. We love staying there ! The location is great for walks and also the local town Booths supermarket. Note to any returners so you can plan there is no coffee maker just now

This was our second stay this year and just as lovely, beautiful apartment in a beautiful house and setting with the bonus of the side garden for our Lab,has everything you need and is cosy and warm,ideal for touring around the stunning Lake District scenery as well, Cant wait to visit again hopefully soon!
Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful apartment. So comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Views from the windows were stunning and it is such a peaceful place to stay, just five minutes drive to Windermere. Our only negative was the two flights of stairs down to the property, we hadnt expected that. My husband has difficulty walking up and down stairs so perhaps the stairs should be mentioned in the summary of information, especially for anyone with disabilities. This meant I had to carry all the luggage up and down the stairs myself. For older adults like us this can be difficult. Also, the summary of information on the Sykes website states no pets so that should be amended too, our small dog loved the walks and the garden. However, we would highly recommend this property, a truly lovely place to stay and very spacious.

We have had a lovely stay at Muirhead, the property was great and had everything you needed, in a beautiful peaceful and restful location, the private garden was great for our Lab,we saw some fantastic scenery and hope to return in the future.

This was our third visit to Applethwaite Hall but first at Muirhead. It did not disappoint. We had a wonderful stay, we love the location and the apartment was spacious and beautiful. We could have stayed longer. It had everything we needed for a fabulous week in the Lakes. We will definitely be back.

This is a super property, extremely comfortable and in a fabulous setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay although the snowy weather did hamper us somewhat. However, we were snug and cosy and the scenery was fabulous. We would recommend this property.

The apartment is wonderful. All six of us and the dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the equipment was excellent and the drying cupboard was a great facility. We felt that a plastic washing up bowl and plate drainer would have been useful, but this was a minor issue. The beds were very comfortable and linen of great quality. Although the weather was not so great for us , we enjoyed having a small garden to use. The situation was great for reaching the surrounding areas. Thank you.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Muirhead and they really have thought of everything in terms of facilities. Just a slight negative is there are a few areas that need updating like the grouting in the ensuite. A barbecue outside would be amazing .All in all a great break.

After a drainage issue which resulted in raw sewage backing up into the shower and bath I had to clean and sanitize the areas myself. Offered compensation on the 3rd March and still havent recieved anything. Service level throughout the process was very poor. The accommodation was fab in every way. A couple of things would be to have a tv in every bedroom as often we would have like to watch in bed in the evenings . Also an umberella from the sun would be good as the back garden did get really warm .
